What to do if your Partner Suspects you are Having an Affair
Shut off your alternate phone line/Google voice. Use the following steps if necessary:
* DENY, DENY, DENY… No matter what even if you’re faced with insurmountable evidence against you. Apologizing one BIG time will go a longer way than several little ones every time new things are uncovered.
* Interrogation Tactics: A guilty person will start with big angry reactions and denials and slowly become calmer. An innocent person will start off calm and work their way up towards irate & frustrated at the accusations. When being questioned always keep your cool at first.
* When answering questions, don’t fidget. Your body language will say a lot. Be conscious of your eye movement. Eye’s that move up and to the left mean you’re triggering the imaginative portion of your brain. AKA lying.
Your brain can still access these portions of itself without the eye movement. Practice telling yourself a make believe story in the mirror, looking yourself dead in the eye. Try one every morning in silence while brushing your teeth or shaving. This will help you keep your eyes fixed on your interrogator in the future.
* Counter Surveillance: If a detective has been hired the stakes just went up. Usually the engagement will be for a set amount of time. i.e. 1 week, 2 weeks, etc. The sooner they dig up dirt on you the better it is for them.
Trust the hiring party to have clued them in onto your schedule & usual whereabouts. Therefore try to remain clean during that window of time. Dig through the person doing the hiring’s finances and communications for intel.

If you’re being followed know how to identify who’s on your
tail. The easiest way is on foot. If possible
pre-plan your route with the aid of Google Maps. Look for specific “choke-points” you can utilize. A chokepoint is basically a bottle neck where your would be pursuer would be forced to expose themselves. Classic easy choices are government offices like a courthouse with security screening/metal detectors upon entry.
This limits the in bound flow of people and gives you a chance to create a gap between you and them. A movie theater is also a good choice. (Although it will probably be in their report later so have a pre-planed creative explanation).
Purchase a ticket for a movie (one that’s been out for a while) that’s already started or wait a while before entering. The goal is to have the theater full so that it’s easy to identify who walks in after you have. Enter the theater and take a seat preferably in the rows furthest to the back and to the side (right or left not center).
After a while make you exit and use the theater to your advantage… Jump into another screening room or anywhere else you can observe the doors you just exited from. If no one’s followed you in its possible their waiting for you at the exit so make sure to you use an alternate exit if necessary.
A multi level parking garage and take the stairs, not the elevator. No one ever takes the stairs so if someone does right after you have it’s a good bet they’re following you.
* Car surveillance: If your vehicle is being followed there is one easy rule to adhere to. Drive in excessive speed. This puts you at risk of an accident and possible citation so be careful.
Driving at excessive speed will make any vehicle following you stand out as it will have to keep with you. Parking garages are also handy chokepoints to screen pursuers.
* Private communities with Gate access and alternate exists are also good places to identify/shake your tail.
* Surveillance Teams: Here is when your choice of chokepoints is really put to the test. In order to make it more difficult for you to identify a tail, a surveillance team could be used.
Basically the tail follows you and the team follows the tail. Team members will alternate who is the active tail so as to confuse you. This is a rare tactic for a P.I agency but not unheard of so be on alert.
* Hidden Camera & Bug Detectors: Have to keep an eye out for them as full motion video speaks volumes. P.I’s will film you once you’re stationary somewhere so always try to shake’em.
What about hidden recorders & cameras? Brick house Security has a wonderful line up of counter survielnce hardware. They have a mini carmea detector you can easily carry for under $100. This is where we get those wonderful toys…
